Seven companies, including A-Tech Co., Ltd., have been selected for the Global ICT Promising Enterprise Development Program, an initiative aimed at identifying and supporting promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the ICT sector with strong technological competitiveness and growth potential.
On the 3rd, Ulsan City and the Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency (Director Jang Kwang-soo) announced that they had selected seven ICT companies headquartered in Ulsan for this program and held a plaque-awarding ceremony.
The Global ICT Promising Enterprise Development Program is designed to discover and nurture ICT SMEs in Ulsan, helping them grow into leading global ICT enterprises representing the city.
First launched in 2004, the program has provided business activation funds for a total of 57 companies to date, supporting areas such as marketing, promotion, consulting, certification, prototype production, and facility and equipment development.
This year, a total of seven companies were selected. Among them, A-Tech Co., Ltd., InsightON Co., Ltd., SKYSYS Co., Ltd., and Taesung IoT Co., Ltd. were newly selected, while N-Soft Co., Ltd., Nemo Eltech Co., Ltd., and UbiMicro Co., Ltd. were reselected following their participation last year.
A-Tech Co., Ltd. (CEO: Kim Jung-wan) specializes in providing intelligent services based on big data. Recognized as a promising enterprise in Ulsan's Fourth Industrial Revolution sector, the company is engaged in projects such as developing AI platforms, discovering new big data service businesses, and creating data-driven smart factory solutions.
InsightON Co., Ltd. (CEO: Park Seung-rae) relocated its headquarters from Daejeon to Ulsan in 2017, positioning Ulsan—known for its concentration of manufacturing industries—as a "blue ocean" for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The company is considered a key technology-driven SME that will drive the region’s future growth through smart factory consulting and integrated system solutions.
SKYSYS Co., Ltd. (CEO: Kim Je-uk) is actively commercializing its smart aerial monitoring system, "SKYEYE," which is used in various pilot projects, including monitoring illegal fishing vessels and tracking ships operating in exclusive economic zones.
Taesung IoT Co., Ltd. (CEO: Choo In-sook) is a specialized company in smart ship and marine technology, providing diverse maritime communication services, including advanced marine communication solutions. The company is expected to have strong potential for global market expansion due to its outstanding technological capabilities.
Each of the four newly selected companies will receive 30 million KRW in business activation funds and a Global ICT Promising Enterprise plaque from the Ulsan Metropolitan City Mayor. The three reselected companies will receive an additional 15 million KRW in funding along with a commemorative plaque.
Ulsan's Vice Mayor, Cho Won-kyung, emphasized, “The Global ICT Promising Enterprise Development Program is one of our flagship ICT company support initiatives. In addition to financial assistance, selected companies benefit from increased brand credibility and other intangible advantages. Particularly this year, given the challenges Ulsan businesses face in securing sales channels due to COVID-19, we will expedite the allocation of business activation funds and actively support companies in overcoming financial difficulties and exploring new markets.”
