Ulju-gun, Ulsan, announced on the 27th that it will operate 24-hour wildfire surveillance drones until December 31 as part of its drone special free zone for wildfire and safety monitoring.
The drones will be deployed at the Complex Welcome Center (Sangbuk Deungok Alps 517) and Hwajangsan Sage (Sangbuk Hyangsan-ri 60).
These drones, from SKYSYS, will use the tethered drone model SKYEYE-150 to monitor a radius of 5 to 10 kilometers.
Captured footage will be transmitted to Ulju-gun’s Drone Integrated Control Center and wildfire personnel.
In case of detecting a wildfire or safety incident, immediate contact will be made to prevent major wildfires.
Ulju-gun plans to include wildfire monitoring in the second phase of the Drone Special Free Zone application and aims to enhance the efficiency of wildfire surveillance by incorporating advanced features such as infrared, automatic monitoring, coordinate extraction, remote control, and automatic notification capabilities.
