SKYSYS, IT Company in Ulsan, Develops Drone Platform for Water-Based Performances

SKYSYS, an IT company based in Ulsan and led by CEO Kim Je-Wook, has developed a "water drone platform" that allows multiple water drones to perform synchronized performances over rivers and lakes. The platform enables the creation of impressive water-based displays through the collective operation of drones.

According to SKYSYS, the environmentally friendly water drones, powered by electric batteries, utilize GPS for precise autonomous navigation and swarm control. These drones can also be equipped with sculptures and LED lights to create a wide range of performance content.

In relation to this, SKYSYS was selected in April for the Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency's regional specialized content development support program. The company has been producing scenario-based content for swarm water drones, with the support of Ulsan city and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

CEO Kim Je-Wook stated, "Using the developed scenarios, we are planning a regular performance service for swarm water drones in rivers and lakes located in Ulsan. We are currently negotiating with relevant authorities for the necessary location permits. Our goal is to offer audiences a unique visual experience that differentiates from traditional drone light shows, providing a spectacle exclusive to Ulsan."
