Ulju-gun Deploys Drones for Wildfire Extinguishing and Residual Fire Monitoring

On the afternoon of the 6th at 3:45 PM, a wildfire broke out in the Jikdong-ri area of Eonyang-eup, and Ulju-gun reported on the 7th that drones were deployed for firefighting and monitoring of residual fires.

On the 6th, general drones and thermal imaging drones were used for wildfire surveillance, sharing both daytime and nighttime (thermal) video footage. 

On the 7th, tethered drones were used to monitor an altitude of 150–200 meters and a 1 km radius, focusing on ensuring complete residual fire monitoring.

A military official said, "To prepare for any unforeseen situation, drones were flown around the wildfire site after sunset to check for any remaining flames."
