(Ulsan=Gukjenews) Shin Seok-min reporter = Dong-gu, Ulsan, announced on the 29th that it will set up a drone experience center at Ilsan Beach and begin operation on the 31st.

The opening ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 1 at Ilsan Beach, attended by head of Dong-gu, Chung Chun-seok, local residents, and drone club members.

Dong-gu prepares the opening ceremony as a cultural event to publicize the drone experience site, which will become a new experience space at Ilsan Beach. 

A crossover performance featuring tenor Park Jae-hyung and others will be held as a ceremony event, and a "drone performance" directed by a drone performance team will be arranged. 

The Donggu Drone Experience Center is built with a 500 square meter trussed structure on a white sand beach next to the central bathroom of Ilsan Beach. It will be operated by the end of November with about 40 drones, charging systems and drone simulators. 

Ulsan Drone Association (Chairman Cho Seong-woo) is going to operate drone coordination training and experience programs by commissioning operation of drone experience centers. Any local residents or tourists can use the drone experience center from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day. 

The drone industry is one of the government's eight leading businesses for innovative growth. Dong-gu, designated as a special zone to cope with the industrial crisis, has carried out the project with 200 million won in support from the Ulsan city to foster alternative industries for shipbuilding and create jobs through the tourism industry. 

"By promoting drone experience facilities, which are emerging as a new growth industry, in Dong-gu, we expect them to provide visitors with new things to enjoy, on the other hand, We expect it to serve as the foundation for fostering drone-related industries." said a Dong-gu official.
